Mills’ Bar Room Brawl

I have to start trusting my instinct again! In the past, they had always rescued me from some misfortunes or bumping into someone i dislike when i’m two pounds overweight just so that person would  see me in my worst and went home feeling like a winner. Na’ah, no siree, i was taught to win!

So, anyway, i had to attend this birthday function for my cousin, and deep inside me while i was dry blowing my hair, i had a feeling that i will bump into someone i hate the most in my life. But sure, i said, lighting will never strike twice (i broke my favourite coffee mug  earlier while watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S), so i said "to hell with it!"

True enough, i bumped into that person and to make that worst, i had to sit thru one hour at THE SAME TABLE! That was even worst when i lost Rm200 to the ATM last two months! It was THAT uncomfortable.

Starting from today, hell would get all snowed up, melted, and freezed up again before i ever question my instinct. PERIOD!

Remember that essay entry of mine that i had posted up the bulletin board to sought readers’ comments? Well, that entry won a prize! Yay!

I got a call at 4.30pm today and someone from Pusat Bahasa left a message on my mailbox. She didn’t mention what prize i’ve got, but it has to be either first, second or third prize because there will only be three winners.

I don’t really care even if i secured third placing. I just care so much about the cert i’ll be getting. I mean, it would look really good in my resume, don’t ya think?

So, tomorrow there will be a prize giving ceremony at one of the lecture halls at 11.30 a.m. I think i’ll wear my maroon cardigan. I can’t exactly wear t-shirt and jeans….
